Who am I?
It wasn’t until my senior year of high school that I began to view the world through the perspective of a behavioral scientist. Life became more intriguing and nuanced as I started to explore why people think and act the way they do. What began as a curiosity about human behavior has grown into a lifelong journey of self-discovery.
Immersing myself in the realms of psychology and wellness, I voraciously consume books, podcasts, and research. This ongoing personal exploration, or “me-search,” has nurtured within me a deep sense of openness and compassion. I meet my clients in this non-judgmental space where, together, we illuminate the path forward, discovering insights and guiding each other towards a more enlightened and fulfilling existence.
My passions include internal family systems, neuroscience, evolutionary psychology and wellness. I have dedicated over 20 years to working with clients navigating life transitions, trauma, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. I deeply value the connection formed through the therapeutic process and take pride in witnessing my clients thrive.
"There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that's your own self."
–Aldous Huxley
My Approach
Building a Solid Foundation for Growth
Creating a life that fosters growth and self-actualization starts with a strong foundation of physical and mental health. By nurturing both your body and mind, you’ll unlock the path to a more fulfilling life. This involves three key pillars:
SELF KNOWLEDGE: Marcel Proust once said, "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes." This insight emphasizes that true discovery often comes from within rather than through external achievements. In therapy, we will focus on enhancing your emotional intelligence and intrapersonal understanding by:
Shifting Judgment to Observation – Moving away from self-criticism and observing thoughts and feelings with curiosity.
Tuning into Your Body – Understanding how physical sensations connect to your emotions.
Embracing Silence – Using stillness to connect deeply with yourself.
Mindfulness – Staying present to better understand your thoughts and emotions.
These practices help you grow in self-awareness and emotional resilience.
BODY & MIND WELLNESS: The well-being of your body directly impacts your mental health. We’ll combine movement, nutrition, and rest to create a balanced foundation:
Movement improves brain function, memory, and emotional regulation. It also reduces stress, boosts mood, and enhances self-esteem. Together, we’ll design a plan to incorporate regular exercise into your routine.
Rest is essential for stress management and emotional resilience. We’ll work on relaxation techniques, deep breathing, and mindfulness practices to help you unwind and sleep better.
Nutrition plays a key role in maintaining a balanced mood and energy levels. We’ll work on setting realistic nutrition goals, addressing emotional eating, and building sustainable habits that support both physical and mental health.
These combined practices will enhance your overall well-being, boost your energy, and create a positive feedback loop that supports both body and mind.
PURPOSE/MEANING/CONNECTION: Meaningful relationships and a sense of purpose are essential for mental health. Together, we’ll work on cultivating deep connections with others, finding fulfillment in your work, and nurturing your sense of purpose to foster emotional resilience and a more satisfying life.
By focusing on these pillars—self-knowledge, body & mind wellness, and purpose—you can create a solid foundation that supports your growth, health, and happiness.
